About Royal Hotel
The Royal Hotel is a little slice of Big City sophistication in the heart of Picton, Ontario, Prince Edward County’s most populous town. Once a 19th-century railway hotel, it was purchased in 2014 and lovingly restored, boasting 33 fully renovated bedrooms, each named for a different variety of apples in honour of the town’s agricultural heritage.
The wine list, impressive even by Toronto standards, radiates like a beacon for the truly wine obsessed. The list skews Italian to match the food, however lesser-known County producers are well represented, as are the Champenois.
If visiting during the winter months, be sure to drop by Tuesdays for half-priced wine.
