Postgatan

In 2015, the PM & Vänner alumnus Viktor Hallberg and Johannes Lorentzon opened Postgatan, a bistro also holding a large bar area in central Kalmar. With ambitious cooking and a well-curated beverage program, this has become Kalmar’s pride on the restaurant scene. The menu offers wine friendly ”Smapas”, meaning regional tapas with local sourced ingredients. If you are not in the mood for wine, Postgatan also has a range of craft beers and high-quality cocktails.

Postgatan is a place to go for every occasion, with a varied clientele of customers from wine-geeks, business people, tourists and locals. Postgatan is a popular destination during summertime and weekends, so a reservation is recommended; otherwise, the staff will usually find you a spot in the bar.

Every time you leave Postgatan, you start to think about what to drink the next time you’re there. The list is full of hard to get wines from sought after producers at reasonable pricing. The wine list is old-world focused with a few references from the new world. Postgatan also offers a wide range of wines by the glass.
