About Odessa Comptoir
Odessa Comptoir is a vibrant natural wine bar and restaurant, serving simple yet tasty food in the historic neighbourhood of the slopes of La Croix Rousse. David Schayne, co-owner and in charge of the wine program, opened Odessa Comptoir in 2017 and since then connects genuinely with all the winemakers, to eventually buy directly from them, which is nice when it comes to the check...
As David likes to say, the wine list is a never-ending endeavour inspired by their travels with Mathieu around France, and also Georgia, Spain, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Austria. Within Odessa, every wine is an invitation to creativity and meant to tell stories, as the wines of Pierre-Nicolas Massotte in Roussillon, or those from Guillaume Overnoy in Jura or even Laurence and Rémi Dufaitre in Beaujolais. The wine list is concise and extremely diverse.
The warm, casual and spontaneous ambience behind Odessa is rejuvenating in the classic city of Lyon and shall hopefully enchant any natural wine lover and beyond!
