In Vaise district of Lyon, L’Octave offers a wine approach that is both playful and demanding, in a lively setting.

The beautiful vaulted cellar, open for tasting, immediately sets the tone, housing 750 references, ranging from established estates to more confidential discoveries. The Rhône Valley and Burgundy take a central place in the selection, while leaving room for regions less commonly found on Lyon’s wine scene, such as Corsica or the Basque Country. The list also features impressive verticals from iconic estates in Provence.

The selection moves across styles and sensibilities, from easy-going “wines among friends” to highly sought-after cuvées sourced through direct allocations from the winemakers.

In the kitchen, the duo of chefs, Stéphane Blein and Florian Migeot, delivers a seasonal, precise and committed bistronomy, in natural dialogue with the cellar.
