About Le Foch
Le Foch is a family-run restaurant that succeeds at balancing fine dining with warm hospitality. It attracts endorsement from a notable crowd, where Champagne’s Cellar Masters and local luminaries come for special moments with their families. The small dining room combines neutral tones and atmospheric lighting which extends the warm and intimate feeling all the way through to service.
Brandishing one Michelin star, Le Foch’s Executive Chef and Owner, Jacky Louaze, has achieved some fame for his approach to fish and shellfish - especially seabass cooked within clay from Vallauris. The seafood-inspired menu is a perfect pairing with the restaurant’s wine list, which offers a wide selection of Champagnes from Maisons, not so much growers. I have been surprised by many rare Champagne gems on the wine list and enjoyed several from much older vintages. There is also enough reference to other wines of France to keep everyone at the table happy.
Le Foch is one of the places you should visit if you want to experience authentic local cuisine, at a fine dining level, that is more pared back.
