Le Clos Wine List

About Le Clos

I love a good wine retail concept within a bistro. A wine list is available if necessary, but the real experience of Le Clos is to step into the cellar to browse around and then speak to the resident sommelier. The selection is predominantly French with an amazing diversity within the country; Burgundy, Champagne and Bordeaux centric yet obscure regions are also often found. A Roussette de Savoie or Vin Jaune from the Jura tend to be readily available for those who drink widely. It is fun to also discover new, upcoming producers and micro-négociants.

The food is simple yet well-executed bistro fare with items like moules frites and Alsatian tarte flambée. If you aren’t looking for a meal per se, there is a proper French deli on the side, where you can get excellent French produce such as Maison Duculty’s cold cuts and Bernard Antony’s Comté. It is worth mentioning that, for those of you with a sweet tooth, they have a classically trained pastry chef to provide a tempting ending to your meal.
