About Hide Restaurant KL
The first Chef's Table concept in Kuala Lumpur with only 13 seats and an open kitchen. Hide Restaurant is located in a small corner of Ritz Carlton Residences and they opened in 2021. Chef and Founder, Shaun Ng, has no borders on his cuisine's inspiration or innovation. The cuisine takes inspiration from all around the globe but of course, he put his main focus on Asian flavours as well as seafood and fish due to his working experience in the United States.
The food and wine pairing of the restaurant has improved ever since the joining of Yap Cze Ying, Restaurant Manager/Sommelier, who perfectly creates an extraordinary marriage with the plate and the glass. The amuse bouche using choux with comte cheese paired with Champagne made a perfect blend whereas Hide's Signature Gunkan, seaweed wrapped with tuna and wagyu tartare, pairs perfectly with the Wild Sauvignon. Each pairing is like a box of chocolate in front of a young kid, fascinating.
