Die Mosel

Die Mosel is a wine bar & wine shop located in the Villa Langguth on the Mosel River in Traben-Trarbach. The old wine trading villa has been restored, offering a large terrace garden with river views and a cozy cellar wine bar. The renovation was done with great care to preserve the building and modernize it in an elegant rustic style; complete with a lighted Mosel River running through the middle of the wine bar.

Die Mosel serves as a wine shop with 60+ Mosel, Saar & Ruwer wineries offered for take away or to order for delivery. The wine bar and “Riesling Garden”, as the terrace is called, offers an ever-changing open glass list of more than 30 wines from the region. In addition to the large glass pour list, any of the 150 bottles sold in the shop can be drunk in-house for 16 Euro corkage fee. This includes classic greats like Egon Müller & J.J. Prüm alongside new cool, yet to be discovered producers.

Die Mosel offers small sharing plates with a mix of Spanish classics and locally sourced products in the evenings to accompany the wines. The food quality is top and the best casual dining you can get in the area. The vibe is friendly and relaxed, offering one of the best selections of wine from the entire region. The shop also offers other local products including gin, vermouth and beer.
