About Schanz
Schanz is located by the river in the town of Piesport. The hotel and restaurant are run by the 4th generation of the Schanz family, and the restaurant has evolved into Michelin two-star under the control of Thomas Schanz. A passionate cook and wine lover, his food is modern and delicate. The complete six-course menu is very reasonably priced and will exceed all expectations; à la carte is also available.
The wine program is selected and run by Thomas and his sommelier Aleks Petrovic. The cellar has a large selection of top Mosel wines including some great aged Rieslings. In addition, they offer a wide selection of classic European wine regions. The parings for the tasting menu is definetely a must.
