About Arteaga Restaurant
This 15th century family farmhouse is located on the slopes of Mount Udalaitz in the town of Mondragon, in the beautiful mountainous interior of Gipuzkoa. Igor Ezpeleta heads up the kitchen, while his wife Maider Larrañaga is in charge of the wines; they offer a menu that changes daily according to market availability, and an a la carte option focusing on traditional and seasonal dishes.
Maider, a great sommelier and wine lover, has created an extensive wine list with more than a thousand references from around the world, where you can discover and taste labels from the traditional to the more modern. The main dining room features a large wine cabinet, housing a huge selection of whites, sparkling wines and sherries mainly from France and Spain, for guests to peruse.
