1884 was the first fine dining restaurant to open in Mendoza, back in 1999. Today it is one of the most hyped dinner dates in Mendoza, the property of renowned Argentine chef Francis Mallmann. With a penchant for the open flame, Mallmann’s cuisine is typically flame-grilled and simple in style, focusing on quality local ingredients. 1884 was also the first restaurant in Mendoza to have a serious cellar. With more than 300 labels on the menu, it’s a favourite of wine lovers.
