Knut-Espen Misje is a sommelier, wine educator, wine writer and wine consultant. Born and raised in Bergen he started working in restaurants while studying Political Science on the University. He soon substituted politics for a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
Keen on wine knowledge, he studied to be a sommelier first and passed WSET Diploma in London as the first Norwegian ever. He has a long career in teaching sommeliers and as the coach of the Norwegian Sommelier Team for the Norwegian Sommelier Association. After years of building up wine import companies and managing restaurants he now spends his time in Norvald Vinbar in Stavanger that he runs with his partner Silje. Loves everything wine!
