Reznicek has the Best Medium-Sized List in Austria 2022

Reznicek won Best Medium-Sized List when Star Wine List of the Year Austria 2022 was celebrated on May 23. The category recognizes the best list with 200-600 references and was presented by Weingut Wieninger & Weingut Hajszan Neumann.

"I'm overwhelmed. We've only been open for eight weeks. Even being nominated together with all these great places and great people was totally overwhelming, and winning this prize was totally unexpected. I'm speechless," says Simon Schubert, owner and sommelier at Reznicek.

Jury member Salvatore Castano, Best Sommelier of Europe and Africa 2021, says:

"Reznicek has an outstanding selection of wines, rich and classic, full of top producers and very easy to understand. Well made and the prices are great."

The winners of Star Wine List of the Year 2022 were revealed by Star Wine List's founder Krister Bengtsson and Ambassador Manager Liora Levi during a live event in Vienna on May 23. The event was held together with Dorli Muhr and her PR agency Wine+Partners, who were hosting their annual "Christmas party" the same night.

The Best Medium-Sized List category was presented by Weingut Wieninger & Weingut Hajszan Neumann.

Fritz Wieninger and his domains Weingut Wieninger & Weingut Hajszan Neumann presented the Best Medium-Sized List in Austria.

For the Star Wine List of the Year awards in Austria, Star Wine List was also happy to partner with the website and sommelier community Kalk & Kegel.

The jury members vote independently for their favorites considering width, depth, originality and value. The jurys' votes are then added up to decide the finalists and the winners.

The winners in the international categories are all qualified to the international final of Star Wine List of the Year that will be held in June.
