Take a look inside Star Wine List’s first Inspiration Day, held in Stockholm this week with special guests Jancis Robinson MW and Andreas Rosendal MS. It was a gathering of wine lovers of every sort – professionals and enthusiasts alike – full of interviews, masterclasses, lively debates and, of course, plenty of outstanding wines.

The very first Inspiration Day took place at Skyddsrummet, in Stockholm, on Monday 10 November 2025. Guests were treated to a walk-around tasting featuring some top-notch wines (and a spot of food), and three on-stage discussions bringing the world of wine to life.

After a welcome by Star Wine List’s Founder and Publisher Krister Bengtsson, Master Sommelier Andreas Rosendal led a masterclass in blind tasting. That was followed by a panel of Gold Star winners from this year’s Star Wine List of the Year Sweden awards, talking about how they created their industry-leading wine programmes. Finally, world-renowned wine writer and Master of Wine Jancis Robinson was interviewed about her 50 years in the business and 25 years of her website, JancisRobinson.com, in her first visit to the country in nearly two decades.

In the first of what is set to be a regular event series, which will pop up around the globe, the Star Wine List team took great delight in sharing these insights, ideas and, naturally, some excellent wines, with readers and industry colleagues who travelled from all over the world to celebrate wine in all its forms.

Jancis Robinson – 50 years in wine

After sampling some Swedish wines during the walk-around tasting, wine writer Jancis Robinson talked about her long and impressive career with Star Wine List’s Editor, Rachel Fellows.

How to taste blind like a Master Sommelier

Sweden's first Master Sommelier Andreas Rosendal explained how he managed to pass the rigorous blind tasting exam to become one of just 293 Master Sommeliers in the world, guiding guests through a selection of mystery wines with his methodological approach to identifying them.

How to build an award-winning wine list

Star Wine List’s Jessica Senning quizzed Rubén Sanz Ramiro (PM & Vänner, Växjö), Alexandra Karosis (Stockholm Stadshotell, Stockholm) and Anton Hansson (Bar Nacka, Stockholm) on how they craft their wine lists, all of which earned Gold Stars at Star Wine List of the Year Sweden 2025.
