Familia Torres named the World's Most Admired Wine Brand 2024

Familia Torres has been voted the world's most admired wine brand by wine experts, according to the Drinks International recently published ranking. The family-owned winery from Penedès reclaims the top spot this year, “reward for its ability to meet a range of consumer needs with quality wines across a variety of price points, while impressing with its green credentials and its work to give new life to historic grape varieties” as stated by the British magazine.

It’s the seventh time the Spanish wine producer has taken the top spot and has never fallen beyond the fourth position in the 14 editions of the ranking. Familia Torres has also been awarded the Most Admired Wine Brand in Europe this year.

Drinks International compiles this ranking every year based on a survey of one hundred wine experts from around the world including sommeliers, buyers, wholesalers, Masters of Wine and writers. A percentile of the Academy rotates to guarantee a fair representation of the global trade. Participants in the survey are asked to name the five brands they admire the most, considering the quality and consistency of the wine, the price to quality ration and the strength of the branding.

Drinks International’s editor Shay Waterworth commented:

"Familia Torres is the most successful producer in the history of our ranking. Not only does the company make world-class wines, but our Academy admires the brand for its inspirational role in fighting climate change and leading the wine industry into the future. Congratulations must go to the family and all the winemakers at Familia Torres”.

Miguel A.
