Despite the Google reviews referencing its ‘Nordic cuisine,’ Published on Main Street is loosely West Coast with a German influence, a product of chef Gus Stieffenhofer-Brandson’s German upbringing. In 2022, Published was named the best restaurant in Canada by Canada's 100 Best Restaurants, a first for any Vancouver restaurant and the fervour for a table continues – reservations are strongly recommended.

The wine list is concise and leans natural and European, with plenty of cult offerings and a preference for niche regions and styles. The bar program is also of particular note, with creative cocktails and an impressive non-alcoholic selection that has become increasingly relevant in the city and globally.
