About Elio Volpe
Elio Volpe opened in early 2024 to much fanfare in the central, yet perhaps undervalued, Cambie Village, and it has already proven itself an essential piece of the neighbourhood’s upscale dining scene.
The space is open, airy and elegant, with sumptuous decor details and a sprawling central bar - perfect to slide up to and order a glass of Verdicchio before settling into the dining room.
The wine list, like the cuisine, is focused on Central and Southern Italy (sister restaurant Savio Volpe is focused on Piedmont and Northern Italy) but also includes classics from elsewhere in Europe and around the world. This list is the larger and more varied of the two, with plenty of deep-cut Italian grape varieties, many of which can pair with the specifically southern regional cuisine coming out of the kitchen.
A dedicated wine team is happy to walk you through the ins and outs of regional pairings or find bottles to work with a variety of dishes, since the menu is best when shared.
This program is Wine Director Kristi Linneboe’s magnum opus and earned her Vancouver Magazine’s Sommelier of the Year award (2024). You can expect soignée yet warm wine service from her and her team.
