About Jaan by Kirk Westaway
Jaan is a modern British restaurant serving their interpretation of fish and chips as a snack (not an amuse bouche) and final sweets (not mignardises or petit fours). The restaurant is located on the top floor of Swissotel The Stamford in the City Hall area of Singapore. It has a stunning view of the Singapore River as well as the iconic Marina Bay Sands.
The wine list is predominantly French, and the breadth of the regions covered is aptly matched by the diversity of producers in all the regions. The Burgundy selection is the work of a genius, and one thing that often excites me about the Loire Valley wines is the fact that it’s not just about Sauvignon Blancs.
Oh, and did I mention their huge collection of English sparkling wines, just in case you get tired of Champagnes?
