Amalia Wine List
About Amalia
For those of us who were regulars at Restaurang Hasselbo on Tegnérgatan for its tasty dishes, the eclectic wine list and the friendly, knowledgeable service, it was seriously bad news when that place closed down. Thankfully one of the owners, American sommelier Cooper Palmer, has opened Amalia not too far away, high up on the rather anonymous Regeringsgatan. Locals have found this cosy place and it has gained quite the rave reviews in the press.
It serves small dishes, which are both innovative and rich in taste. The wine list ranges from famous French locations to lesser-known ones from across Europe and, of course, includes a section of interesting American wines. We also love that, even though there are some pricier known names, there are also plenty of bottles to choose from at around 1,000 SEK – a friendly price point in central Stockholm. Cheers!
