Copenhagen’s Geranium has the Best Austrian Wine List in Denmark 2025
Star Wine List of the Year Denmark celebrated the best wine lists across the country with an awards ceremony at Restaurant Babylon in Copenhagen on Monday. In a category supported by Austrian Wine, Geranium was presented with the Gold Star for the Best Austrian Wine List for the third time, one of its two Gold Star wins on the day.
Three-Michelin-starred Geranium restaurant in Copenhagen has won the Gold Star for Best Austrian Wine List for the third time at Star Wine List’s sixth celebration of Danish wine lists, after also winning in the category in 2024 and 2021.
The winners of Star Wine List of the Year Denmark 2025 were announced this week during an event held in Geranium’s home of Copenhagen. Head Sommelier Andrea Roug Sala was presented with a Gold Star by Austrian Wine’s Oliver Chramosta, with judge Stefan Neumann MS praising the list as a “stellar showcase of Austria’s wines, paying homage to the timeless classics while celebrating the bold newcomers.”
Geranium also took the Gold Star for the Best Long List and will now be entered into the Star Wine List of the Year International Final, to compete against the other Best Austrian Wine Lists and Best Long Lists announced on this tour when it culminates, in June 2026. Having won the global Gold Stars in previous years, the restaurant is set to be a hot contender once again.
