2020 Mosse “Deuxieme Mise” Chenin Blanc, Vin de France, $14gls, $60btl Rene and Agnes Mosse have mostly retired from the responsibilities of their family estate and their two sons Jo and Sylvestre have since taken over. The quality hasn’t skipped a beat and this bottling from four vineyards planted in 2000 is deeply concentrated and slightly savory showing higher-toned acidity and balanced flavors of stone fruit, tangy minerals, orange blossom, and almond.

2018 Mosse Cabernet Franc, Vin de France, $66 Rene and Agnes Mosse have recently “retired” and turned the responsibilities of their family winery over to their two sons Jo and Sylvestre. The quality hasn’t skipped a beat and this bottling from 40-year-old vines around their estate in Anjou is deeply concentrated and slightly funky showing flavors of black fruit, wet stone, and silky tannin.
