About Nomi Weinbar

Located a few meters away from Markthalle Neun, the market square that hosts the famous RAW Fair, Nomi Winebar is the best new wine address in Berlin. They manage to take away the anonymity and hectic pace of the city and offer their guests a space to relax and enjoy, with advice at eye level, in a bar where everyone can find something. The enjoyment of wine is rounded off by small delicacies.

They support small wineries that produce close-to-nature. This is also how the name of NOMI came about, which is made up of the words “No” and “Chemisty”. It’s important to them that when they select products, they must come from independent suppliers known for craftsmanship and quality.

The goal: to shake up the male-dominated wine industry. They therefore deliberately focus on female winemakers. This means a woman is involved in all our wines, including as part of a couple or in some other capacity. It is important to them that wines have soul, are expressive and natural, and convince with authenticity and liveliness, for newcomers and experienced drinkers alike.

But what I really like about this place is the wine list itself. Three world-famous songs about strong women singers serve to categorize the wine list:

"Just wanna have fun" (Cyndi Lauper), stands for uncomplicated drinking without too much thinking – just a lot of fun in the glass.
"What a feeling" (Irene Cara), stands for exploration and discovery for curious palates. “F*cking Perfect" (P!nk) stands for classic and complex wines.

The menu consists of natural wines from winemakers from all over the world, with a total of around 40 references that change regularly. In order to appeal to wine enthusiasts and newcomers alike, bubbles, rosé, white, orange and red wines are offered in different price and quality classes. This is my “coup de Coeur 2023”
