When the heat arrives in Tuscany, the Florentine wine people escape to the seaside. The real sign that says that summer has started is when the restaurant Scoglietto opens by the sea. Here you can enjoy regional cuisine with a touch of creativity made with freshly sourced fish. The menu changes every day depending on the catch of the day. Here you can enjoy local traditional dishes like Caciucco, a flavoursome and rustic tomato-based fish soup or the delicious Spaghetti alla Riviera Etrusca, made with lobsters and prawns.

You will not have problems finding the right wine as Lo Scoglietto has a rich wine cellar with over 480 national and international labels. Do not be surprised if you see people from the wine industry sleeping at the beach for a nap before heading back to Florence in the late afternoon.
