About Le Manoir de la Régate
Just off the eastern bank of the Erdre river, nestled in a preserved natural setting about 10km north of Nantes city centre, stands a bourgeois nineteenth-century house – home to the restaurant Le Manoir de la Régate. The acclaimed chef Mathieu Pérou took over the family restaurant in 2017, later joined by his sister Anne-Charlotte in 2019. Their passion, commitment, and determination have paid off, earning them numerous accolades and prizes celebrating their dedication to fine cuisine crafted from hyper-local ingredients.
The tasting menus highlight river fish, seasonable vegetables, and responsibly sourced meats, beautifully complemented by the inspired pairings of a young and intuitive sommelier team. The wine list leans toward organic cuvées, balancing well-established producers with rising stars from France and across Europe. The selection of bottles from the Loire Valley and Burgundy is spectacular, with prices that reflect its ambition. Service is classical yet relaxed, its precision and discretion adding to the overall charm of the place.
