About Bistro Melon
Named after both the English classic bowler hat (“chapeau melon” in French) and the local grape variety behind muscadet, Melon de Bourgogne, Melon is also the name of this brilliant bistro. Pun fully intended, as founder Pierre spent over 10 years working alongside some of the UK’s most renowned chefs. The reference doesn’t stop at the name – it runs through the food and drinks menu.
While Muscadet and Melon take pride of place on the shelves, other key French regions are also represented. Thoughtfully put together, the list highlights cuvées from lesser-known family domaines along those from higher profile producers, all working organically. This quality-driven list also features international references from across Europe and beyond.
