“Kalba žmonės“ is one more neighbourhood wine bar which recently opened in a newly developed and fashionable Paupys area. Owned and run by a veteran hospitality pro Mantas Žemaitis „Kalba žmonės“ has an atmosphere which reminds visiting a good friend in their home - the service is friendly, laid back and personal. Some decorations are hand-made by Mantas himself, which adds to the home-like atmosphere.

His idea about the wine selection is to cover major wine regions around the world while working with smaller local wine suppliers. It is very much a work in progress and wine list is constantly changing. You can find a bit of everything: be it a classic Champagne or Pet-Nat, Burgundy or Douro. Most of the selection is at mid-price range, but Mantas is diversifying options as the clientele grows. Besides wines, you can find some interesting craft ciders and beers as well, and if you liked something you tasted you can buy it to take away.

Food-wise you can get cheese, cold cuts and some olives to go with selected wine regularly, but you should be on the look out for special evenings with guest chefs, often from top restaurants in town.
