Fitzgerald wins Austrian Wine List Gold Star 2021
Fitzgerald in Rotterdam won the gold star for best Austrian Wine List during Star Wine List of the Year 2021. The category is presented by Austrian Wine.
“The Austrian wines were really well represented, not only the whites but also a fine red wine selection. Wonderful sweet wines as well, and a few nice selections by the glass and some bubbles. All styles are well represented and it covers the majority of the Austrian wine regions,” says jury member Raimonds Tomsons.
“These are wines we love to work with and wines we can easily pair with food. Austrian wine should absolutely be a part of an international wine list,” says Fitzgerald’s owner and sommelier Danny Gonzalez.
The Silver Medalists in this category are: Con Fuego, Oonivoo, MOS and Wijnbar Pierre par CP.
By winning this category, Fitzgerald is qualified to the Global Star Wine List of the Year Final in Vienna – where the best wine lists in the world will be crowned. Not only that, they are invited all-inclusive with flight and hotel for one person, thanks to Austrian Wine.
