About Verlan
Created by a group of young, passionate and well-travelled Thais, Verlan is located in a beautiful and newly renovated house in a small sub-street off the busy Sukhumvit Road.
The kitchen focuses on modern French bistro fare, but with local and seasonal Thai ingredients adding another level of uniqueness to the experience. It's all directed by former Michelin-starred chefs Napol “Joe” Jantraget and Saki Hoshino, two young but already well-established and respected chefs.
About the Verlan Wine List
The wine list leans heavily towards the Old World, with a specific focus on low-intervention wines without being dogmatic about them.
In particular, the selections of grower Champagnes and small producers from Burgundy and Jura are some of the best in Bangkok, and with the list constantly being updated, there is always something new to discover here. Prices are kept very reasonable overall, considering the level of cuisine, the interior and the service at this place.
