About L’Auberge de l’Ill
A legendary address, a unique family.
The Haeberlin family and their team have been pampering guests for decades with a one-of-a-kind spirit. These are iconic dishes that you must taste at least once in your life: the frog-leg mousseline, the salmon soufflé, the truffle under ash.
The wine cellar, boasting thousands of prestigious bottles, has been carefully tended to for 40 years by the legendary Serge Dubs, Best Sommelier in the World, who is now gradually handing over the keys to his treasure to Hervé Fleuriel and Frédéric Schaetzel.
Loyalty and patience are good ways to describe the wine list, with big verticals and mature vintages from friendly Alsatian estates (expect Trimbach, Weinbach, Hugel and so on).
A special mention must go to the fair prices at this two-Michelin-starred restaurant.
