Gallo Nero

Gallo Nero is a traditional, family-owned Italian restaurant in Hamburg-Winterhude, located in a corner building in a vibrant neighbourhood with a lot of other restaurants, cafés and bars. Family owned since its opening in 1999, it is a local flagship of Italian cuisine and has been awarded three Bottiglie by the Gambero Rosso guide – one of only 20 restaurants in the world to hold the accolade.

Open for both lunch and dinner, the restaurants's food is focused on high-quality products and traditional Italian dishes. The ideal choice would be some good antipasti to start, followed by a homemade pasta dish and, for the main course, tagliata.

The wine list is mainly focused on Italian wines and is maybe the best Italian wine list in Germany... Nearly every wine region of Italy is represented – big names but also hidden treasures. A very good selection of vintages and, also, larger bottle formats.
