The Lynwood eatery, by Chef Fortunato Mazzone, is a favourite amongst Pretoria’s foodie clientele. The restaurant serves up the chef’s take on his traditional Italian cuisine.
The wine list opens with a map of South Africa’s wine-growing region and an aroma chart before moving onto an extensive list of Cap Classiques and Champagnes, white wines, rosés and reds – predominantly local with a few international picks here and there.
It’s a list that spans both price points and styles of wine, ensuring there’s something for everyone – from the novice to the connoisseur. Such a wine lover is chef Forti that he even stocks wines that he bottles from select wineries under his own label.
