Da Burde Wine List
About Da Burde
This historical trattoria is off the beaten track and in one of the less romantic parts of Florence, close to the city airport. Still, wine and food lovers from all over Tuscany and other parts of the country try to come here as often as possible. The current generation, the two brothers Paolo and Andrea Gori, have kept everything as it once was. They still sell tobacco at the entrance, and prosciuttos hang from the ceiling.
The food is rustic, and the wine list is sophisticated. Paolo is the chef, and Andrea is one of Italy's most renowned sommeliers and wine writers and a prominent expert on Champagne. Here you can come, eat traditional Tuscan dishes and taste and talk about wine until late. Some examples? Try Chianti Classico from every one of the 11 new subzones or compare a Burgundian Pinot Noir to the best versions from Tuscany, or why not do a blind tasting trying Bordeaux and Bolgheri at the same time? Do not forget the impressive list of Champagne and Vin Santo.
