About Brasero
One of the most anticipated new spots is West Town’s stylish Brasero, the second location of the group behind the excellent El Che Bar. Brasero is Chicago’s best example of Brazilian cuisine - no overindulgent steakhouse here, rather skilled, flavorful, creative interpretations of dishes from all over the region, plus a massive masterpiece of a Feijoada sized for a full table of guests.
While they’re quick to show off their Caipirinhas and creative cocktail list (which are excellent), they give equal thoughtfulness to an excellent South American wine list celebrated as “100 under $100” - the entire wine list is clever, interesting, and nothing over one hundred bucks, encouraging curious guests to try their various Chilean skin-contact whites, or their surprising collection of Païs, served appropriately chilled, of course.
The vibe is funky and fun, equally supporting a casual night out for drinks and snacks, or an exciting twist on a fine supper on the town; Brasero is definitely worth its anticipation.
