Bandol sur Mer Wine List
About Bandol sur Mer
Over the years, this former kebab stand in the heart of Berlin has developed into probably the smallest restaurant with a Michelin star in Germany. Since 2012, they are offering a relaxed, modern fine dining concept – in 2016 awarded with one star in the Michelin Guide and 16 points by Gault & Millau. The young and ambitious team serves only up to 18 guests at the time with their French-oriented cuisine, so please make sure to book in advance.
The restaurant bears the name of a small harbour town in the south of France, named after the famous wine region Bandol in the south of Provence. Artist Fred Rubin has furnished Bandol with the interiors from the former Central Committee of East Germany (GDR), which gives the place a special flair – Provence meets Berlin Mitte! Like the French sea resort itself, Bandol is a place of relaxation, well-being and happiness – a place of life, for every occasion, for everyone.
About the Bandol sur Mer Wine List
Without a background, an actor can hardly express what is to be delivered. In the gastro world, we all see ourselves on a stage of authentic taste. For Alexander Seiser, this is no exception. His wine selection is based on origin, tradition and taste. The wines should reflect how winemakers think about grape varieties, how to trade in the cellar, and how these terroirs feel.
Here, you’ll, of course, find an extensive, but not exhaustive, German selection based on the main German grapes. Also, while eating at Bandol, why not treat yourself with a 1997 Chateau la Rouviere?
