About Acane
Recently opened in Parekklisia, Acane is already making waves as Limassol’s latest culinary destination. Named after the Incan god of fermentation and wine, the restaurant is the brainchild of award-winning restaurateurs George Zacharoglou and Yiannis Antoniadis – the duo behind Dionysus Mansion, also featured in Star Wine List's Limassol guide.
What sets Acane apart is its team of three expert, award-winning sommeliers: Sotiris Neophytides, George Zacharoglou, and Adrian Andronache (including two “Best Sommelier of Cyprus” winners and a junior sommelier). Together, they guide guests through an impressive wine list of 250 labels from both the Old and New Worlds. The Acane wine program is designed to showcase exceptional, high-quality and rare wines sourced from across the island and around the globe. The selection emphasises international labels, with a strong presence from France, Italy, the USA and Chile, along with a special focus on the Assyrtiko grape from various regions of Greece.
In France, the spotlight is on Burgundy, featuring wines from prestigious domaines and carefully selected older vintages. From the United States, particular emphasis is placed on Napa Valley, offering a curated range from bold Cabernet Sauvignons to robust Petite Syrahs.
A standout feature of the wine program is the extensive by-the-glass selection, with over 40 wines available – most served using the Coravin system. From crisp dry whites to luscious dessert wines, guests are invited to explore and enjoy a diverse range of styles and profiles.
On the food menu, Latin American-inspired cuisine takes centre stage. Start with handmade flatbread served with miso-chilli butter and olive caramel paste. Don’t miss the crab and shrimp empanadas, or the exceptional beef estofado dumplings filled with slow-cooked beef cheeks and Gruyère cream. Meat lovers should try the Argentinian-style grilled beef cuts, while seafood fans can enjoy fresh, raw fish creations – all curated by award-winning chef Demetris Chaidemenos. Finish your meal with fresh churros and mango ice cream, or go classic with a rich chocolate soufflé and vanilla gelato.
