Forty opened in 2019 as a second wine project of the owner of Ale Wino!, one of the most popular wine bars in Warsaw. Forty is located in Mokotów, an old district not far from the city centre. Forty means ”fortress” and the restaurant is located in an old 14th-century building. This is a big, spacious wine bar with a high ceiling and large windows. The food is simple but full of flavour – from small suppliers of organic products. There is also a bar in the middle, suggesting Forty puts some extra attention to cocktails.
