About Nuta
Nuta is a fine dining restaurant owned by Andrea Camastra, an Italian chef who has lived in Poland for many years, also working in France along the way. He previously ran Warsaw’s Senses restaurant (awarded a Michelin star over several consecutive years; highly ranked in Gault&Millau; featured in the 50 Best Discovery list). In his new location, in the centre of Warsaw near Plac Trzech Krzyży, Nuta has also been awarded a Michelin star.
It's hard to categorise Camastra’s cooking style, but molecular gastronomy definitely plays a part. Expect a wide range of forms, textures, and structures in the dishes, with plating that can be expressive. Though, at times, it also leans towards a more understated, classic approach. The ingredients are sourced from both Poland and various places across the world, and Camastra is known for his reinterpretation of traditional recipes. In recent years, global cuisine has become more minimalist, influenced by Nordic trends that emphasise fewer ingredients. However, as history shows, every trend or period eventually loops back, and Camastra’s style remains well-defined, consistently following a specific path.
The restaurant’s atmosphere is comfortable and classy, blending elements of both French and Italian modernism. It offers two types of tasting menu.
About the Nuta Wine List
The wine list is quite extensive, with selections from many importers in Poland. The wines come from classic producers – though primarily organic and biodynamic – ranging from Bordeaux to California, to the Jura. There are also more modern wines, some from regions that are only known to those following emerging trends. A large selection of Polish wines is featured, as well as wines from New World countries like South Africa and Uruguay. Pairings are, naturally, offered.
