Star Wine List of the Year UK with The Buyer 2025 - enter now
The tenth stop on this year's Star Wine List international tour will celebrate the best wine lists in the UK, in association with The Buyer.
On Monday 3 March 2025, Star Wine List and The Buyer will award Gold and Silver Stars to the wine bars and restaurants offering the greatest selections of wine in the UK, as decided by a panel of international experts from the world of wine.
The awards ceremony will take place in London, with international category winners gaining entry to our International Final, to be held in June 2025.

Categories and criteria
The criteria for the jury are straightforward but not simple: vote for the most exciting wine list representing the category.
THE CATEGORIES
INTERNATIONAL CATEGORIES:
• Grand Prix, presented by Bibendum
The best list of the overall competition.
• Best Long List
For wine lists with more than 600 references.
• Best Medium-Sized List, presented by Domaines Paul Jaboulet Aîné
200-600 references.
• Best Short List
Fewer than 200 references.
• Best By the Glass List, presented by Majestic Commercial
• Best Sparkling Wine List, presented by Nyetimber
• Best Newcomer List
• Sustainable Wine List
Recognises a wine list that has put extra emphasis on the wine programme’s overall impact, including vine growing, winemaking, packaging and transport. Assessed via a questionnaire during the application process.
• Best Austrian Wine List, presented by Austrian Wine
• Best California Wine List, presented by Pahlmeyer
LOCAL CATEGORIES:
• Best Rosé Wine List, presented by Miraval
• Best Spanish Wine List, presented by Familia Torres
• Best Italian Wine List, presented by Ceretto
The winners in the international categories will qualify for our International Final in June 2025, where they will face off with the category winners from other countries and continents.
