About Valley Bar and Bottle
Valley is the cosy, casual wine spot you dream of finding in California wine country, which can be a little relentlessly luxury-oriented. Want a salad, some tasty small plates and pasta or protein? This is one of the best places in wine country to dine in a more vegetable-focused, minimalist fashion while drinking food-friendly, unadorned, lower-alcohol wines.
Founded by millennials with high end east coast hospitality experience, Valley reflects a much more contemporary experience of wine and food. One of the founders, Tanner Walle, worked at NYC’s famed Terroir wine bar for years, and his business partner and wife, Lauren Feldman worked for Sean Broc at Husk. Lauren says they, “focus on the things that you love and don't take any of it too seriously.” This leads to a great diversity of farming-focused European wines, as well as a lot of bottlings from the bleeding edge of the new California movement, all served in a uniquely North Coast environment, just off the town square in Sonoma. Be sure to ask after outdoor seating in the back if weather permits and they have space!
