About Torikaze
Opened in 2023, Torikaze has become one of the hottest spots in Shanghai. It’s a joint venture between a renowned restaurant group Ting Group and Michelin-starred Yakitori chef Ikegawa Yoshiki. Torikaze provides a yakitori set menu, which is undoubtedly ranked as my favorite in town. The wine program is curated by wine director, Arneis Wu and Frank Wang, the group sommelier. They do a nice feature on Champagnes and, more interestingly, quite a bit of Coteaux Champenois AOC. The wine program also showcases many rare Burgundy and Sake finds. If you wish to enjoy some exquisite yakitori with something nice to pair with, this is the place.
