About Cellar to Table

Cellar to Table is the second restaurant property of Philippe Huser, a Swiss entrepreneur who has lived in Shanghai for over 20 years, after the famous Napa Wine Bar & Kitchen, which was probably the first fine wine restaurant in Shanghai. Unfortunately, Napa Wine Bar & Kitchen closed due to its building’s reconstruction project in 2020, but Phillipe rebounded by creating a more casual concept, Cellar to Table, while waiting for Napa Wine Bar & Kitchen’s reopening.

Other than the restaurant business, Philippe also has a wine import company. The name Cellar to Table originates from their philosophy of bringing wines directly from the winery cellars to the dining tables of their guests. The wine list in general is reasonably priced, especially for those wines imported by the owner.

The restaurant is located in a villa on the popular restaurants and bar street, Donghu Road. Its beautiful courtyard allows you to enjoy some nice bottles day or night. If you need a private place for business dinner, they also have a private room on the second floor.
