About Strandcafé
One of the most spectacular places in Austria is the Altausseer See in the Styrian part of the Salzkammergut. At the lakeside of the sea, about a ten-minute walk from the small village of Altaussee, there is the inn called the Strandcafé, which is a mixture of café and inn. The interior is as beautiful as the terrace.
Patron Peter Beuchel would not have needed to establish a small but exciting wine list. But he did. On the list, you can find great champagne, natural wines from the Loire Valley or easy easy-drinking summer wine, like Grüner Veltliner from Schloss Gobelsburg.
