Bootshaus

The Seehotel das Traunsee and the Post Traunkirchen are the centres of good gastronomy in the Salzkammergut. Both are guided by Wolfgang and Monika Gröller, and both are famous for their wine lists and perfectly briefed members of the service.

The restaurant Bootshaus, Das Traunsee's restaurant, built directly on the waterfront, is a restaurant where the team around chef Lukas Nagl serves a regional cuisine of a very special, modern and creative type. Nagl is specially dedicated to the fresh fishes of the lakes of the Salzkammergut and he prepares them nose to tail. One of his signature dishes is red beet with whey and caviar of pine. The desserts are simply great.
