Nice Matin

Provence's sunny vibes and flavours come alive at this beloved Upper West Side restaurant. Since opening more than two decades ago, Nice Matin has challenged the notion that a casual neighborhood spot can't have a serious wine game. As expected, there's a great selection of rosé, but many French reds and whites from the South of France are also featured.

But there are no geographical barriers on Nice Matin's list, and under Beverage Director Aviram Turgeman's discerning eye, it roams tantalisingly through France, including Champagne, Alsace, Burgundy, and beyond. Spain, Italy, Portugal, Australia, Israel, Lebanon, and many US wine regions are also featured. And if you really want to taste history, order a bottle that once belonged to President John F. Kennedy Jr – in 2004, Nice Matin purchased several cases from Kennedy's personal cellar, and those rare wines are scattered throughout the list.
