About Kronenschlösschen
Kronenschlössen is located only a few meters away from the banks of Rhine in Hattenhei. Only a 30 minutes drive from Frankfurt takes you right to the middle of one of the most historical wine regions in the world. There couldn't be a better way to start your Rheingau culinary journey.
Kronenschlösschen is a meeting point for gourmets and culinary enjoyment is the top priority in both the bistro and the gourmet restaurant.
In 2014, the team at Kronenschlösschen founded the Rheingau Gourmet and Wine Festival, gathering the best local and international chefs alongside local winegrowers. The festival presents culinary art in perfection, complimented by superb local wines.
The festival takes place during the last week of February and the first week of March every year, including around 50 events within 14 days. There are cooking shows and cooking demonstrations in the mornings, gourmet menus with accompanying wine pairings at noon, wine tastings in the afternoon, gala dinners with national and international three-star Chef celebrities such as Thomas Keller, Charlie Trotter, and Joachim Wissler in the evenings. The owners or winemakers represent the estates in person, with names such as Aubert de Villaine, Jean-Philippe Delmas and Paul Drape. The festival starts and ends with a party of 450 guests enjoying live cooking with ten different star chefs, 20 wine stands and three live bands. The percentage of tickets sold to the festival is almost 95 %, making the visitor number reaching around 6,500 guests every year.

Kronenschlösschen is not only a culinary temple, but their wine list is also unrivalled. Head sommelier Florian Richter looks after their wine cellar, for which the Kronenschlösschen is known beyond Rheingau. You can find anything you can imagine from Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, and California alongside with one of the most extensive German wine list in the country.
