Star Wine List is hiring a Social Media Manager

Attention restaurant, wine and social media pros: we are hiring for a Social Media Manager to join our team, based in Europe.

Please note: this role is only open to individual applicants based in Europe, who can invoice us as freelancers. No agencies please.

Position: Social Media Manager

Location: remote, based in Europe (including the UK and other non-EU countries). Occasional travel can be expected to our events and meetings, a few times per year.

Type: freelance contract, part time, 7-14 posts per week.

Deadline: ASAP – applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

What you’ll do:

• Coordinate with the Editor, the Publisher and the Star Wine List team to post on social media across our social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
  
• Create and curate compelling content (graphics, videos, stories, and posts), focusing on growing our video output as a priority
  
• Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and grow our community
  
• Analyse performance metrics and adjust strategies for optimal results

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of experience in social media management
  
• Wine and restaurant knowledge and experience
  
• Strong writing, communication, and visual storytelling skills
  
• Native or very high level of written and spoken English
  
• Proficiency with tools like Canva
  
• A good eye for aesthetics, trends, and audience behaviour
  
• Organised and creative

Bonus points:

• Familiarity with SEO and content marketing
  
• Knowledge of analytics platforms (Google Analytics, etc.)
