About Restavracija Rožmarin
Rožmarin is a project of passion and ambition. This classy restaurant has taken Maribor’s gastronomic scene to the new heights with its menu comprised of local specialties, European classics and a selection of steak meats from five countries.
With well over 1,000 labels from 13 countries, including large formats and older vintages, Rožmarin’s wine list is one of the biggest and most diverse in Slovenia. It takes pride in its Champagne and Bordeaux selection, but what is especially rare in Slovenia is the collection of top Californian labels. But of course, it is a great place to dive into Slovenian wines as well; this part of the wine list is conveniently organised by the grape variety and features all the corners of the country. Whether you’re interested in local twists on international varietals, or in native grapes, you’ll definitely find a bottle to enjoy and explore.
Be sure to check out the gorgeous “wine chamber,” where you can gaze through numerous labels and choose your next bottle to open, or enjoy a tasting led by Rožmarin’s knowledgeable somms.

Upon entering, this seems like any ‘normal’ steakhouse with a bar and somewhat rustic tables but, proceeding further in, you will find a see-through, walk-in wine room with a lot of different Slovenian wines and some international classics. The sommelier is happy to let you enter and have a look at the bottles, and will help you choose something to drink at the venue or take out of the door to enjoy later on.
