Provino actually opened before the wine swirl hit Kazakhstan, which is especially interesting now that wine culture is so prominent in the country's largest city, Almaty. The capital Astana, by contrast, somehow lacks the same diversity, but this place is a staple for wine lovers.
A classic European family cafe/bar, the concept includes an in-house wine shop where guests can select wines and spirits for enjoyment on-site or to takeaway. But the reputation really comes from the proper wine selection, friendly atmosphere, good service, gastronomic delights and regular wine events. The sole focus is on the complete balance between all these details.
