About Palás Cerequio
Among the vineyards in La Morra, more precisely by the Barolo cru Cerequio, you find Palás Cerequio, a resort owned by the historical Michele Chiarlo winery. The facility was, in the past, a noble palace (“palás” in the Piedmontese dialect) and has been completely renovated over the years. It is truly a breathtaking location and definitely a must-visit if you are visiting the Barolo area for the first time. The resort has a beautiful and sophisticated restaurant and a more easy-going SkyBar, which opened during the summer of 2024.
An ideal evening plan is to start off with a glass at SkyBar and continue the evening in the restaurant. With a breathtaking view, you can enjoy a cocktail or a bottle of wine, soaking in the beauty of the Barolo hills. It is also possible to dine at SkyBar – a simple but fun menu with a mix of raw or grilled seafood, charcuteries and grilled meat. A menu meant to be paired with wines! The restaurant, instead, offers a reimagined take on classic and more traditionally-focused Piedmontese cuisine.
The wine list, available in both SkyBar and the main restaurant, is divided into reds from Piedmont and the rest of the world. This is definitely a place for Nebbiolo lovers – the list is even divided by cru and village! Compare Asili and Rabajà Barbaresco crus, or pick a bottle with a bit of age from the early noughties. A great place to visit to enjoy the spectacular view and indulge in the Nebbiolo grape variety. Apart from the impressive bottle list, they offer 40 different Barolos by the glass with the help of Coravin, as well as some other rare jewels from other parts of the world.
