About Mountain and Sea House

Founded on Zhongshan North Road in 2014, Mountain and Sea House relocated to Ren’ai Road in 2018 to continue its journey. The restaurant’s architectural style reflects the romantic Meiji-Taishō era, influenced by European Romanticism. Guests can see historical touches, from old archways reminiscent of Dihua Street to elegant armchairs evoking the nostalgic charm of the 1930s, all complemented by an interesting garden view.

Mountain and Sea House collaborates with top farmers across Taiwan to bring fresh, seasonal organic produce to the table daily. Focusing on provenance and biodiversity as well as flavour has helped it to become Taiwan’s first and only restaurant to hold both a Michelin star and a Michelin Green Star.

The wine list is crafted by sommelier consultant Thomas Ho, who also serves as Star Wine List’s ambassador in Taiwan. It centres around Taiwan’s local spirits, curating a selection of beverages from across the island that includes wine, sake, whisky, shochu, rum and craft beer.
